MICHAEL NOPARSTAK, D.O., FAAD

Board-certified dermatologist and Board-certified Mohs surgeon

Dr. Michael Noparstak is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified Mohs surgeon who specializes in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. He has a dedicated interest in the early detection and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Noparstak treats both adult and pediatric patients. His clinical interests include, but are not limited to, dermoscopic analysis for diagnostic accuracy of any and all skin lesions, acne, eczema, psoriasis, blistering disorders, cosmetic injectables, and dermatologic surgery. His priorities are providing compassionate patient-centered care and improving his patients’ quality of life. 
Dr. Noparstak was born in Chicago, IL, and raised in the Midwest. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Iowa, where he graduated with distinction, earning a B.A. in Psychology with an emphasis on Pre-Medicine. He then returned to the Chicago area where he worked as a medical and procedural assistant. After several years of working and assisting with thousands of medical procedures, Dr. Noparstak made the decision to attend medical school. He enrolled at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in South Florida, where he continued to excel academically. He graduated with highest distinction, finishing in the top 1% of his medical school class, and was inducted into the Psi Sigma Alpha National Osteopathic Honors Society.
After medical school, Dr. Noparstak completed a year-long traditional rotating internship at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami. He went on to complete his 3-year ACGME accredited dermatology residency and Mohs training at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences Orlando Dermatology Residency program. Throughout his medical training, Dr. Noparstak has spent time at several prestigious institutions including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Chicago.
Dr. Noparstak has scored in the top 1% on numerous exams required for all United States medical students, including shelf and board exams. As a first-year dermatology resident, Dr. Noparstak achieved the highest score in the country among all 400+ residents in his class on the American Board of Dermatology in-training examination. Dr. Noparstak has volunteered regularly as a blood donor, assisted with fundraising for multiple cancer research organizations, and has spent time helping to organize healthcare education events. During his residency training, Dr. Noparstak supervised a team of medical students providing medical care to indigent patients in Nicaragua on the University of Miami medical outreach trip. Dr. Noparstak has also published multiple peer-reviewed articles that have contributed to the dermatologic literature and has lectured on a variety of dermatology topics throughout his career.
In his free time, Dr. Noparstak enjoys sports, music, movies, all things science, and spending time with his wife and sons. He looks forward to raising his family on the quiet coast of Maine.
